The San Francisco Transgender Film Festival is committed to creating an accessible and welcoming experience for our audiences. Below you’ll find information about accessibility features for our 2026 festival, both in person and online.

Venue & Physical Accessibility

Our in-person screenings take place November 12–14 at the Roxie Theater in San Francisco.

  • The Roxie’s entrance, lobby, bathrooms, and audience seating are wheelchair accessible.
  • Wheelchair seating is available. Please contact us in advance if you have specific seating or mobility access needs.
  • Assistive listening devices are available.

ASL Interpretation & Film Captions

  • All in-person screenings will feature ASL interpretation.
  • All films are open-captioned, both in person and online.
  • All film programs will be available to stream on demand November 15-22.

Masks & Community Care

To help protect our immunocompromised and disabled community members, KN95 masks are required for all in-person attendees while inside the venue.

  • KN95 masks will be provided at the entrance, or you may bring your own KN95, N95, or N100 mask.
  • Exceptions are available for individuals unable to wear a mask due to a disability or health condition.
  • Please stay home if you are experiencing symptoms of a contagious illness.
  • If you’ve recently had COVID-19, please wait at least 10 days after your first symptoms or positive test (if asymptomatic) before attending.

Fragrance Considerations

While the festival is not a scent-free event, we ask attendees to be mindful of perfumes, colognes, and other scented products to help make the space more accessible to those with chemical sensitivities.

Requesting Access Accommodations

We want to support your participation in the festival!

If you have specific access needs, questions about the venue, or would like to request additional accommodations, please reach out to our Access Coordinator:

Alex Locust

We encourage you to submit access requests by November 5, 2026, so our team has time to coordinate accommodations. Requests received after this date will still be considered, but we may not be able to fulfill all requests on short notice.

When reaching out, please let us know which screening or program you plan to attend and how we can best support your experience.

You can also reach us through our Contact Us page.

We look forward to welcoming you to the festival!
