SFTFF: What is the name of your film?

PW/JS: Please You

SFTFF: What was the inspiration for your film?

PW/JS: The work stretches definitions and perceptions of the performer’s body as a commodity, reexamining faith in culture from the vantage points of sexuality, grunge, and queerness. The “Please You” film is dedicated to any artist, who has felt pressured by the will of the audience.

SFTFF: Describe your film in 3 words.

PW/JS: Jockstrap Gene Kelly

SFTFF: What is one thing you learned from making your film?

PW/JS: I don’t have to “pretend” to gag when you have a pool cue down your throat. It happens naturally.

SFTFF: If your film had to be summed up in one song, what song would it be?

PW/JS: “Keep Young and Beautiful (if you want to be loved)” – Annie Lennox cover

“Please You” will be screened on Sunday, November 10 at 2:30pm as part of the “Afternoon Delight: Transgender Shorts”. For more information, visit the 2013 Festival Program.
